How to Apply

Although the 2017-18 school year has begun and we are blessed with an increased enrollment this fall, we still have some openings, so we encourage you to apply following these steps.

5 Easy Steps to Enroll at Grace Academy

Whether you have made the decision to choose Grace Baptist Academy for your child, or are still considering your options, the first step is to schedule an Educational Success Consultation with one of our experienced administrators. The consultation will focus on the aspirations and goals you have for your child, academic preparation, planning for the future, and spiritual formation.

Please call (423)892-8224 ext. 1 if you would like to learn more about the possibilities available for your child at Grace Baptist Academy.

Step 2: Shadow Day

Visiting our campus, walking our hallways, sitting in on our classes, meeting and getting to know Grace students, teachers, and staff, and attending one of our many athletic or fine arts performances is the best way for prospective students to get to know what life is really like at Grace Baptist Academy. As part of the admissions process, prospective students for grades 1-12 spend a regular school day at Grace, hosted by a current Grace student. Prospective Kindergarten students spend a half school day in a Prekindergarten classroom. Our Admissions Department strives to fulfill prospective students’ requests for particular classes, events, and activities.

Step 3: Apply for Admissions

Once the Education Consultation and Shadow Day are completed, you will be sent a link to complete an online application. There is a one-time $100 application fee (non-refundable) required for all submitted applications. Our admissions coordinators will provide guidance throughout this process.  If you have concerns about finances and believe you will need assistance, please click here.

Step 4: Academic Placement Testing

Academic placement testing is required for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade and can be completed by scheduling a testing date through the Office of Admissions.

Step 5: Records Request

We request the following records for each student.
• Copies of all discipline reports or a signed statement by a school principal or counselor that the student has no discipline record
• A transcript of the student’s permanent record to date, including grades for courses in progress
• A copy of the student’s complete testing profile
• Copies of attendance records
• All health records, including immunization form, eye, ear and dental form, birth certificate, etc.
• If Special Needs exist:
o Copies of all psychological reports
o Copies of Individual Educational Plan
o Copies of Special Education Placement forms

An Academic Reference form is required for all students applying for Kindergarten through 12th grade, to be completed by their most recent teacher. This form can be printed from the online application or provided by the Office of Admissions.

Admissions Committee

Our admissions committee reviews each applicant as soon as the first five steps are completed. We will communicate our decision to you immediately and begin the process of getting your student enrolled.
