Checkout Policies

Elementary

• Grades K-1: 1 book at a time for 7 days.
• Grades 2-5: 2 books at a time for 7 days.
• No new checkouts if item(s) overdue.

Middle/High School

• May check out 2 books at a time for 28 days.
• Fine of 5 cents is charged for each day overdue.
• No new checkouts if student has overdue item(s) or unpaid fines.

Parents

• May check out 2 books at a time for 14 days and 2 media items (videotapes, DVDs, books-on-tape) for 7 days.
• Fines of 5 cents/book/day and $1/media item/week are charged for late items.
• No new checkouts if patron has overdue item(s) or unpaid fines.
• A parent must be present to check out books or media items in their name.

Lost Books

If a book is lost or is 28 days overdue, the price of the book plus a 5.00 processing fee will be charged to the student's account. If the book is returned before the end of the school year, the price of the book plus 2.50 will be credited to the account.
