About Mr. Turner Minimize
My name is Mark Turner and I was born and raised in central North Carolina. I attended Faith Christian School for all of elementary and high school years. After graduating from there in 1983, I enrolled in Bob Jones University and attended there for 1 year. At the end of my freshman year, my parents alma mater, Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, expanded and added their physical education degree, so I transferred and finished my undergrad degree there.
While there, I met Amy Marcum and after we graduated, we were married (in 1988). After teaching for 1 year in Portsmouth, VA, we moved to Chattanooga in June, 1990. I completed my master's work in Education from UTC in 1993. In 1991, Shelby was born. In 1995, Nolan joined our family. Serena came along in 1998, and Sadie was our last in 2001.
