Assistant Principal-Student Life

Grace Academy is seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to serve in a part-time administrative position reporting directly to the Upper School Principal.  This role will be combined with some teaching responsibilities to make it a full-time position.

A qualified candidate will possess a strong testimony for Jesus Christ with faithfulness and integrity in their daily life.  This individual must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Grace Baptist Academy with a passion to see students receive a Christian school education.   A strong candidate will have earned a master’s degree in education or related field.  Organizational skills and administrative experience in school settings will be valuable in this job.  

This position exists to support the administration of the Upper School with primary focus on cultivating a positive, enjoyable campus culture and dynamic student life.  This involves exercising a pastoral heart for spiritual growth in others and implementing an administrative mind for organizing opportunities for such growth.

He/she must have good communication skills with an ability to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner.  This position demands a high degree of personal enthusiasm, flexibility, and resiliency that produces a strong internal drive in day-to-day activities.  They must be able to relate to students, parents, the community and also colleagues with a good customer service mind-set.  It is vital that this individual be a positive team player.

Upper School Science Teacher

Grace Baptist Academy seeks a dynamic and engaging science teacher who is qualified to teach all levels of upper school science. Key subjects include Physical Science and Biology. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher who possesses these qualities:

  • An enthusiasm for working with high school students
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • A commitment to innovative pedagogy 
  • Ease in using technology and the iPad as classroom tools
  • A master’s degree (preferred)
  • High school teaching experience (preferred)

The Upper School Science Department works as a team, maintaining and ensuring a high quality and Biblically-integrated curriculum in grades 6-12. This is a full-time position for the 2018-2019 academic year and includes advising and sponsoring co-curricular activities in the Upper School.

Grace Baptist Academy challenges learners in a comprehensive, college-preparatory environment. The latest methodologies and technologies are used within a 21st century curriculum, all based on a Biblical foundation.
