Hollingsworth Leads Lady Golden Eagles To Victory
On Thursday, February 6th, our high school girls basketball team traveled to Collegedale, where they secured the number four seed in the regular season. The Lady Golden Eagles defeated Collegedale, 46-26, and Junior, Mattox Hollingsworth led the team in points with 19. The Lady Golden Eagles will look to secure another win on Monday, February 10th for the first round of the district playoffs.
Lower School Boys Soar Past Belvoir
On Tuesday, February 4th, our lower school boys traveled to Belvoir and defeated them 49-7. Jackson Hicks, a standout 5th grader, had 12 points to help lead them to victory. Way to go, little Golden Eagles. We are very proud of them as this will help them go into the ISC tournament with a lot of confidence.
Lower School and Middle School Boys Defeat Oakwood on The Road
On Monday, January 27th, lower school boys and middle school boys defeated Oakwood tonight on the road. Fifth grader, Jackson Hicks led the lower school team in scoring with 10 points. Middle school boys won in a close, neck-to-neck battle, 46-43! Way to go, Golden Eagles!
Sophomore, Bryson Henry Advances To State!
On Sunday, January 27th, Sophomore, Bryson Henry competed at the University of Tennessee KISL City meet championship meet. He placed 6th in the 100Y back in the finals. Bryson, will swim in the TISCA High School state swim meet on February 8th. Way to go, Bryson!
Middle School Boys Basketball Pull Two Close Victories Off
On Saturday, January 24th our middle school JV and varsity boys teams defeated St. Jude in close, nail-biting games. JV won, 27-26 and varsity won 36-30! Way to go, Golden Eagles.
Wins For ALL Against Berean
On Thursday, January 23rd our lower school girls and boys, along with our middle school teams, defeated Berean for the celebratory night of our 8th graders! This was an exciting night for our lower and middle school programs.
Lower and Middle School Snag A Few Wins On The Road
On Tuesday, January 21st, our lower and middle school basketball teams traveled to OLPH. Both of our lower school basketball teams defeated the Rams. Our JV middle school boys and varsity girls defeated the Rams also. It was a great night for our basketball program!
HS Girls Basketball Clinched Two Victories In One Week
On Monday, January 13th, our high school girls basketball team hosted and defeated Collegedale 30-26. Junior, Mattox Hollingsworth was the leading scorer with 10 points.
On Friday, January 17th, the high school girls traveled to St. Andrews Sewanee and defeated them, 45-13. Freshman, Piper Heyworth led the team in scoring with 11 points.

LS & MS Boys Win On The Road at Belvoir!
On Tuesday, January 14th, our lower school boys (not pictured) and varsity middle school boys basketball teams traveled to Belvoir Christian Academy and defeated them. We are super proud of them for clinching the win on the road. Gabriel Saddler was a standout player for the lower school boys, with a game-high of 9 points that helped lead them to victory.
MS Boys WIN Again!
On Thursday, December 9th, our middle school boys traveled to St. Jude, and the JV and Varsity teams clinched victories. The JV won easily, while the Varsity took the game to the wire. Our guys finished strong in a nail-biter, 39-38! Way to go, we are proud of you!
MS Boys Get A Win First Game Back From Christmas Break
On Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, our varsity middle school boys team hosted TCPS for their first game back from Christmas Break. This was a great win for our middle school boys program as they defeated TCPS, 36-8! Way to go, Golden Eagles.
HS Boys Basketball Clinch Win in Christmas Tournament
On December 28th, our high school boys basketball team played at Riverbend Park in Dalton, GA against South Pittsburgh and defeated them in a nail biter, 50-47! Way to go, gentlemen!
Lower School Boys Win Again...
On Thursday, December 19th, our lower school boys traveled to Brainerd Baptist and defeated them in a nail-biter, 26-22! They are on a roll. Despite their recent loss to Bright, 23-21, they continued to show resilience and battled back to a victory.
Great Day For GBA Basketball!
On Saturday, December 14th, all of our basketball teams played at home. Our lower school and middle school teams hosted the OLPH Rams, and all secured a win. Our high school teams hosted the CSTHEA Patriots, and the girls soared past them with no issues at all. Freshman, Lexie Pendergrass led the team with 21 points!
Lower School Boys Basketball Defeats Oakwood
On Friday, December 13th, our lower school boys' basketball team hosted Oakwood Christian Academy. The Golden Eagles had no problems soaring passed the Eagles to a 33-13 victory! Way to go, Golden Eagles!
Middle School Girls and Boys Defeat Berean on the Road!
On Tuesday, December 10th, our Varsity middle school basketball teams traveled to Berean and secured two wins. Our middle school girls won, 24-15, and eighth grader Kaylee Combs led the team in scoring with 16 points. Our middle school boys won, 38-22! Way to go, Golden Eagles!
Pendergrass Leads the Way With 25!
On Monday, December 9th, our high school girls basketball team defeated CSAS, 49-11. Freshman, Lexie Pendergrass led the team with 25 points. Junior, Sophie Ibrahim followed closely behind with 15 points. Way go, Lady Golden Eagles.
LS Boys Get 1st Win!
Monday, December 9th, our lower school boys clinched their first win of the season over the Collegedale Eagles, 31-18! They are now, 1-1! Way to go, little Golden Eagles!
HS Boys Defeat Maryville Christian at Home & Copper Basin on The Road
On Saturday, November 30th, our high school boys hosted Maryville Christian. They defeated them 66-52. Senior Tyson Robinson was the leading scorer with 25 points. Senior Tayven Guthrie followed behind him with 16 points, and Senior Carson Knecht had 14 points. We are very proud of them.
On Tuesday, December 3rd, they traveled to Copper Basin and defeated them 62-41. Way to go, guys!
HS Basketball Defeats Lookout Valley In Season Opener
Our high school basketball team's Season/Home Opener was Monday, November 25th. The Golden Eagles defeated the Yellow Jackets of Lookout Valley.
The varsity girls clinched the win, 34-31 with Junior, Sophie Ibrahim leading the way with 12 points.
The varsity boys won by a landslide, 81-10, with multiple players in double-figures. However, Freshman standout, Grant Phillips led the way with 22 points.
The Golden Eagles will host Maryville Christian on Saturday, November 30th at 4:00 and 5:30 p.m.

Great Season, Little Golden Eagles!
On Tuesday, November 19th, our lower school soccer team hosted Brainerd Baptist in the Championship. This game was a nail-biter, with back-to-back goals scored by each team. Not to mention, it was raining the entire time. The game ended up going into penalty kicks and even extra ones to close the game. Our Golden Eagles fought strong and hard the whole game but came up short, with a score of 7-6. Despite losing this game, they still clinched the "Regular Season Champions" title. The final record for this season was nine wins and one loss. We are extremely proud of our student-athletes! Way to go!
ONE GAME AWAY...
Our lower school soccer team defeated Boyd Buchanan on Monday, September 18th, to secure their championship ticket! They will host Brainerd Baptist on Tuesday, September 19th, at 5:00 PM for the ISC Championship. If they win, this will be their third year in a row as both Regular Season and Tournament ISC Champions!
Lower School Soccer... Regular Season Champions!
Our little Golden Eagles defeated SBA in their last regular season game, earning them the Regular Season Champions title! They will host Boyd Buchanan in the quarter-finals on Monday, November 18th!
Tayven Guthrie Places 19th at State!
Friday morning, Senior, Tayven Guthrie finished 19th out of 77 runners in the State meet for the 5K race! Way to go, Tayven! We are so proud of you!
Lower School Soccer Defeats Boyd & CCS!
Our lower school soccer team defeated Boyd Buchanan on Monday, November 4th. The Golden Eagles hosted the Buccaneers at 4:30, and finished the match on top, 4-1! Tuesday, November 5th, they traveled to CCS and defeated the Chargers on their home field, 5-2!
Lower school soccer has been undefeated so far this season. They have been playing phenomenally.
Golden Eagles Defeat 4A Southeast Whitfield in Nail Biter!
Friday, November 1st was the last game of the season for our high school football team. It was also Homecoming! This was by far, the most exciting game of the season! Your Golden Eagles battled and went back and forth, touchdown for touchdown the entire game. Senior, Carson Knecht scored the game-winning touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the 4th quarter. Despite giving up a big completion with 30 seconds remaining in the game Junior, Hayden Smith came up with a game-ending sack to win the game 36-32!

Tuesday, October 29th high school XC competed at Regionals. Senior, Tayven Guthrie, once again set another record running a 16.47.30 placing 5th out of 85 runners and earning a spot to race at State next Friday, November 8! Great job!!
LS Defeats SBA, 6-1!
Tuesday, October 29th our lower school coed soccer team hosted SBA and soared past them with no problems. Our little Golden Eagles moved up a division this year and they are still graciously soaring. They defeated SBA, 6-1!

Friday, October 25th night, was an exciting night for our Grace community. All Fall sports senior night, and the annual cheer clinic took place. The Golden Eagles defeated Concord Christian, 28-21!

Saturday, October 19th our lower and middle school XC teams competed at the Regional Meet at Woodland Park. Several student-athletes placed high enough to advance to the State Meet on Saturday, October 26th in Knoxville, TN. We are very proud of these little Golden Eagles! Way to go, keep soaring.

Friday, September 13th, high school football traveled to Memphis, TN at Rossville Christian and left with another victory. The Golden Eagles finally started to pull away in the 3rd quarter and created a large lead for Rossville Christian to catch up to. Senior Carson Knecht led the way with 153 rushing yards and 3 TDs.

Thursday, September 12th, our high school XC team had another meet at Woodland Park. It was an exciting day for Senior, Tayven Guthrie as he broke the school record for the 5K time. Guthrie Makes Top 10, Again!
Tuesday, September 10th, our high school XC team traveled to Dalton, GA to run in the Rocky Face Meet. They had a hilly course to compete on yesterday at Rocky Face Ridge Park in Dalton, GA. A lot of hard work and endurance was used by each of our runners to complete this race! Senior, Tayven Guthrie led the way by finishing 7th out of 164 runners. Way to go!

Tuesday, September 10th, our high school girls soccer team hosted St. Andrew's Sewanee. Senior, Sofia Simpson scored 2 goals to help the Lady Golden Eagles advance to a victory over S.A.S. The Lady Golden Eagles trailed most of the match, 1-0, until Simpson scored two back-to-back goals making the final score, 2-1. Way to go, Ladies!

Lower & Middle School Cross Country Begins Season Strong
Monday, August 26th was the first cross country meet of the season for our lower and middle school teams. Despite the severe heat, our Golden Eagles completed PRs and competed well.
6th Grader, George Bontekoe placed 5th out of 98 boys. 7th Grader, Gavin Bontekoe placed 4th out of 98 boys. The Bontekoe brothers had a standout running performance. We are very excited for these cross country teams to continue to grow faster and stronger. Go, Golden Eagles!
