    Job Title:  PreK-5th grade


    Job Description:  GBA is seeking an experienced, educated, and highly engaging full-time classroom teacher for our Lower School.  This position will require a teacher who is willing and able to carry out the duties and responsibilities of leading a classroom to the glory of God and to the ultimate benefit of the school’s entire program.  A strong candidate will possess a strong testimony for Jesus Christ with faithfulness and integrity in their personal and professional life.  This candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and ministry of Grace Baptist Academy and have a passion for partnering with parents and seeing students discipled through Christian education.  A bachelor's degree in elementary education as well as certification is expected, but advanced degrees and further experience would be considered very valuable.  A teacher at GBA must be committed to making direct connections to Scripture and guiding students to evaluate content through a Biblical worldview.   Skills and experience in coaching sports, leading clubs, or other extracurricular activities are extremely valuable as there are opportunities at the academy, and they provide exceptional discipleship opportunities.

    Job Description:  GBA is seeking an experienced, educated, and highly engaging full-time English teacher for our Upper School.  This position will require a teacher who is willing and able to teach classes ranging from 6th to 12th grade, including literature, grammar, vocabulary, and writing.  A strong candidate will possess a strong testimony for Jesus Christ with faithfulness and integrity in their personal and professional life.  This candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and ministry of Grace Baptist Academy and have a passion for seeing students discipled through Christian education.  A bachelor's degree in language arts and some years of experience are both expected but advanced degrees and expanded experience would be considered very valuable.  A teacher at GBA must be committed to discipleship of students in a small group setting and have skills related to, and comfort with, leading small group scriptural discussion.  Skills and experience in coaching sports, leading clubs, or other extracurricular activities are extremely valuable as there are opportunities available at the academy and they provide exceptional discipleship opportunities.

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Academic Coach to join our team. The Academic Coach will play a crucial role in mentoring, supporting, and empowering educators to succeed in the classroom, thereby enhancing student outcomes.


    Key Responsibilities


    Mentorship and Support:

    • Provide personalized guidance to new and struggling teachers.
    • Serve as a resource for instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.
    • Build confidence and competency in educators through regular feedback and encouragement.

    Classroom Observations:

    • Conduct targeted classroom visits to observe teaching practices and student engagement.
    • Provide constructive feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness.

    Curriculum and Lesson Planning Assistance:

    • Collaborate with teachers to develop differentiated lesson plans that address diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Ensure alignment with curriculum standards and student learning goals.

    Data Analysis:

    • Gather and analyze student assessment data to identify areas of strength and improvement.
    • Support teachers in using data to inform and adjust their instructional practices.

    Professional Development:

    • Organize and deliver training sessions focused on best practices, teaching methodologies, and classroom innovations.
    • Stay informed about educational trends to provide up-to-date resources and strategies.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience.
    • Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
    • Extensive knowledge of instructional best practices and classroom management techniques.
    • Proven ability to mentor and support colleagues effectively.

    Reporting Structure: The Academic Coach will report directly to the Director of Academics and collaborate closely with teachers across various grade levels and subjects.

  • Job Type: Upper School Principal

    Position Opening for Upper School Principal  


    This open position is a full-time, twelve-month, administrative role leading the Upper School (6th-12th grades) of Grace Baptist Academy and reporting directly to the Head of School. 


    A qualified candidate will possess a strong testimony for Jesus Christ and demonstrate strong character such as faithfulness and integrity in their daily life.  This individual must be strongly committed to the mission of Grace Baptist Academy with a deep passion for students to receive a Christian school education.  Having the conviction and ability to articulate a Biblical worldview is foundational. According to our governing policy related to ministry leadership, the upper school principal shall be an active member of Grace Baptist Church with a deep conviction of the highest devotion to the local church as a follower of Jesus Christ.


    A strong candidate will minimally have earned a master’s degree in educational administration or a related field. Along with leadership experience in school settings, the following professional qualities are valued:


    • Attention to current educational research and ability to integrate that with the mission and values of Grace Academy.
    • Knowledge of adolescent development and experience with leading teens.
    • Experience recruiting, hiring, overseeing, supporting, retaining, and leading talented, diverse, and mission-aligned faculty and staff.
    • Understanding of best practices in enrollment management. 
    • Strong business sense to maximize resources. 

    This position demands high personal enthusiasm, flexibility, and resiliency, including a strong internal drive in day-to-day activities.   A strong candidate will be gifted with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with inspiration, clarity, and decisiveness, both in writing and in person, whether one-on-one or on stage.  Demonstration of a collaborative leadership style built on approachability, responsiveness, humility, and transparency is highly valued.  Evidence of an innovative mindset and a forward-thinking style of leadership is important for this role.

HONOR TO WHOM HONOR IS DUE

Each year our School Board honors specific members of our faculty and staff on completed "years of service". This takes place at our annual Christmas Dinner. We believe that honoring our teammates for their hard work and diligence is both humbling and rewarding. We look forward to this every year as it facilitates a refreshing and positive atmosphere for our faculty and staff.
