Health & Wellness

The Nursing Office at Grace Baptist Academy is staffed by Registered Nurses, with substitutions by trained medical personnel, or designee. Our goal is to promote health and safety for our students. The Nursing Office operates during school hours to provide 1st aid, handle on campus medical emergencies, administer authorized medications, and for communication between the school and parent/guardian when a student becomes ill or injured at school. Medical information for each student including health history and health related issues are completed by parents annually. The nurses collaborate with student's parents and their physicians to develop a plan of care for those with special health needs. The nurses also schedule screenings for vision, speech, and hearing.

"A student's health status is directly related to his or her ability to learn."
