The school board of Grace Baptist Academy includes the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church, head of school, the church business manager, parents with children enrolled at the Academy, representatives from the official church board, the school faculty, and the church finance committee . This group meets regularly fulfilling its governance responsibility and providing wise counsel regarding school policies, financial oversight, and long-range planning.
Kamilla Boerema
Finance Committee Representative (2018)
Kamilla Boerema represents the Grace Baptist Church finance committee on the school board. She is Owner/Principal Manager at Daily Distribution and also part-time women's ministries coordinator at our church. Kamilla has a B.S in Elementary Education, with a minor in Bible from Tennessee Temple University and a M.S in Education Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She taught at the Academy in its earliest years. Kamilla has three children who are alumni of Grace Academy and two grandchildren who are currently attending.
Jennifer Campbell
Parent Representative (2020)
Jennifer Campbell is a Grace Grad and serves as a parent representative on the school board. She is a homemaker & Christmas tree farmer. Jennifer has a B.S in Communication Arts with Minors in Writing and Bible from Bryan College. Jennifer has two sons who are currently students at Grace Academy. She leads a weekly volunteer group called Moms in Prayer.
Tom Crum
Deacon Representative (2009)
Tom Crum is a deacon representative on the school board and previously served as board chairman for over ten years. He was the Human Resource Director at Chattanooga State Community College before his retirement in 2015. Tom has a B.S and M.S degree from the University of Illinois (Urbana) and 66 hours of post-graduate beyond his M.S from several institutions. He has given countless hours of volunteer service on the campus in both administrative support and also facility improvements.
Dr. Kathy Estes
Church Representative (2016)
Kathy Estes serves as a church member representative on the school board. Her professional vocation is Associate Professor of Finance at Lee University. Kathy has a B.A in Economics from Illinois College, a MBA from University of Illinois at Springfield and a DBA from Anderson University. Kathy has one daughter who is an Alumna of Grace and one son who is currently attending.
Gavin Gromacki
Faculty & Deacon Rep (2019)
Gavin Gromacki serves as a faculty and deacon representative on the school board. He teaches Bible in the Upper School and is the Bible Department Head at Grace Academy. Gavin has a B.S. in Bible from Clarks Summit University and a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary. Gavin has one child enrolled at GBA. He has also coached boys soccer for the Golden Eagles.
Adam Love
Senior Pastor (2020)
Adam Love serves on the board as the Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church since January 2020. He has a Bachelors in Pastoral Theology from Northland Baptist Bible College and Masters of Biblical Studies from Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Adam has two sons who graduated from GBA. Most recently, he coached our Middle Schools boys soccer team.
Jennifer Otting
Parent Representative (2023)
Kim McDaniel serves as a parent representative on the school board. She is an Office Manager for a local law firm. Kim has a B.S in political Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Kim has one daughter who is an Alumnus of Grace and one son who is currently attending.
John Parshall
Church Representative (2014)
John Parshall serves as a church representative on the school board. His professional position is Manager of Emergency Preparedness, Training, Drills and Exercises, Compliance at TVA. John earned his post-secondary degree from the United States Navy Nuclear Power, in Nuclear Engineering Technology. John has three children who are alumni of Grace and four grandchildren currently attending. He has assisted with our girls basketball and softball teams for many years.
Matt Pollock
Head of School (2013)
Matt Pollock serves on the board as Head of School at Grace Baptist Academy since 2013. Matt has a B.S. in Secondary Education, a M.S. in Counseling, and a M.Ed. in Administration from Clark Summit University. He has one daughter who is an alumna of Grace and three grandchildren currently enrolled.
Mike Swanson
Church Business Manager (2012)
Mike serves on the board as the Church Business Manager. His official position is Executive Pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Mike earned a B.S. in Business Management from Tusculum University. Mike has one son who is an alumnus of Grace Academy.
Alan Walker
Board Chairman
Deacon Rep (2011)
Alan Walker serves as the Board Chairman and is a deacon representative on the school board. He works with World Financial Group Insurance--Pinnacle Elite. Alan has a B.S in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech. He has three daughters who are alumni of Grace and three grandchildren currently attending. For many years, Alan and his wife, Tina led our girls softball program, winning a state championship.
